Parson Drove School
Making and learning
Two very different quilts were made at Parson Drove School near WIsbech, Norfolk UK.
Year 1 and 2 children drew their self portraits and learned how to stitch. Everyone liked seeing how recognisable their friends drawing and stitching was.
Year 3 to 5 children were learnign about he the Oplympics and had decided in advance on the design and shape of their story quilt. They planned to use it to sit on for their school sports day.
This project provided opportunity for all ages and abilities to share in learning, understanding and enjoying the stories of each other’s lives and experiences.
